INTRODUCTION
The following report is based on scenario of Sim's hardware organisation. A new CEO is
hired for the company. He has to develop new strategies and plans for achieving organisational
goals and objectives within time (Herman, R.D., 2016). First part of this report includes
reflection of CEO and this consists of questions related to organisational values, strategies and
business objectives.
ASSESSMENT 1 Project Report
1. How would you communicate with stakeholders about the organisational mission and goals,
objectives, plans and strategies?
Stakeholders are the most essential factors of business. Stakeholders include individuals,
groups and organisations. These are impacted by result of a project. As it is important for the
company to have loyal stakeholders, as the CEO of the company it is my duty to communicate
vision, mission and objective of the company to stakeholders in an effective manner. The vision
of Sim's Hardware is to offer innovative devices to people that ease daily activities of human
beings. The mission of the company is to increase the revenue by selling innovative products. I
have to communicate effectively to stakeholders about increasing revenue of the company and
earning more profits. As Sim's hardware is not able to maintain good reputation in market due to
lack of communication, lack of accountability and lack of vision. Thus I will focus more on
providing a clear and justified vision for the company. When stakeholders will have a positive
mindset towards company then only reputation of company will be enhanced. I will provide clear
instructions to employees for working hard to attain goals and aims in less time. Also proper
customer analysis will be conducted to know what are the actual needs of customers. In this way
I will be able to make effective strategy that will help in attaining organisational goals.
2. How will you establish linkages between organisational objectives, values and standards and
the responsibilities of the team and individuals?
A company can have better outcomes if all employees are efficient in working.
According to me, first step for success of any organisation is to assign each individual tasks as
per their skills and abilities. I will focus more on developing effective teams that will work for
attaining specific goals and objectives of the company. Roles are defined as positions which are
defined by set of expectations related to behaviour of job. Every role assigned to the employee

includes a set of tasks and responsibilities which he or she has to perform in right manner. All
employees and team members of the company are informed about their job responsibilities. It is
important for them to have a clear vision about business strategy. The main objective of Sim's
hardware is to meet customer expectation by providing them innovative and creative products. It
is very important to establish linkage between the values, objectives and standards so that
responsibilities of team and individuals is enhanced. I will organise meetings for teams so that
they will get to know about strategy, value and standards of business. It will not be an easy task
as I have to provide trainings to employees for team building and team management.
3.Why do you think it is significant to address the expectations of the stakeholders of the
organisation?
It is important for me to address expectations of the stakeholders of the organisation as
they play an important role in success of the company. The managing of stakeholder is defined
as an activity of communicating and managing expectations of stakeholders. The main
objective of this is to meet needs of stakeholders, resolving conflicts, addressing different issues
and attainment of organisational goals. I will organise meeting with stakeholder for
communicating issues of stakeholders. In this meeting I will focus more on gathering feedback
and making updates to project documentation. I think that it is every important for me to engage
stakeholders for success of the company. The high level stakeholder perception enhances
likelihood that the stakeholder provide the necessary support level and implementation of project
is done effectively. There will be scheduled meetings for addressing various conflicts and issues
of stakeholders and the company. This helps in increasing the efficiency of employees and
getting acceptance of stakeholder. In this way I will be able to make beneficial action plans in
case conflicts occurs or issues are created.
4. What will be your investigation and communication strategy in case of major incidents?
In an organisation, incidents and accidents are inevitable and it is duty of management to
have proper way of managing this condition. Each and every incident that occurs in an
organisation must be investigated and acknowledged. I have to manage the incidents of the
company with proper care as the reaction to incidents and the way of investigating has powerful
effect on image of the organisation and perception of public for Sim's hardware.
The communication strategies that can be considered for the purpose of overcoming from
the issue of poor communication and lack of vision are defined below:

Direct communication: This is one of the effective communication strategy or tool that
provides an opportunity to bring effective communication process within the organisation. This
includes the removal of the role of intermediaries that resultants into direct communication of the
management personnels with the employees. The benefit of the same is ascertained in the way
that help to build the trust of employee in organisational working activities along with timely
redressal of their associated issues.
Use of technological devices: The importance of same is that help to disburse the
information in quickly manner along with precision where different meaning is not interpreted
by the receiver. This will aid in completion of work on time along with qualitatively in nature.
5. How would you build and support teams in an organisation?
This is very important factor for the organisation as this helps in increasing efficiency of
the company. Team management is an effective part of the organisation. As the CEO of the
company the major problem I am having is ineffectiveness of teams. I have decided to develop
teams on the basis of abilities and skills. In every team, there will be individuals having different
skills. Each team must be so effective that it work effectively to achieve organisational goals in
given time. Good team management is the key to increase business revenue thus it is essential to
develop and control teams (Smith, 2015). As per my strategy, I have decided to assign tasks
according to ability of teams. This will help me to achieve desired goals in less time.
6. How will you develop and demonstrate the understanding of ever changing environmental in
terms of technological advancement and globalisation?
Change is inevitable and thus I have to make sure that my employees do not fear form
organisational change. The technological advancement is an important factor that affects
business operations of Sim hardware. It is important for me as the CEO of the company to adopt
latest technology in my devices. This will help in increasing the satisfaction level of customers.
The adoption of new technologies affects employees of the company. I have to take initiative and
provide trainings to employees for understanding new techniques and ways of working.
Globalisation is another trend that is useful for expanding profit and market share of the
company. I have decided to adopt new technology and enter foreign markets for increasing the
profit of company. I have to be enthusiastic and provide motivation to my employees so that they
can achieve goals and objectives in effective manner. Working at global level needs more skills

7. How you would support work teams through organisational change?
Team empowerment is an approach which will be used by me to develop employees. I
will give authority to employees for making decisions. There are some employees who needs
freedom and autonomy in their work, so this power for making decisions will provide a sense of
achievement and accomplishment. This helps me to make employees develop their skills and
become flexible and responsive to various business situations. This will help me in making my
employees to work in a manner as they can make effective decisions. I will support all teams of
the organisation so that they can work and achieve organisational goals. Team building is the
biggest strength of mine and according to me I am an effective leader and can easily handle my
workers. I can control and manage activities of my employees effectively and make them skilled
employees. Also in case of organisational change, it is needed that all employees of team are
already prepared for the seen of change in the organisation.

and community?
For creating or portray an positive image of business organization in front of community
as well as in media, I focused on an happy and healthy working environment, by this each and

giving orientation program as well as training and development programs for employees, with
help of these both methods every employee get to know about the organization vision, mission,
goals, objective, as well as culture. Thus it helps both employee as well as organization in
achieving their goals in effective and efficient manners. In addition to this, I would focus on
formulating some effective measure which helps in solving to disputes and issues that arising in
organization. With my efficient skills, I concentrate on building effective strategies, approaches
by which an effective communication can be done among employees and different levels of
management. Along with this, I build effective organizational culture in business organization
which help both employer as well as employee work effective and efficiently. Thus, an good

There can be situation in workplace when there is lack of communication in company,
lack of communication can happen anytime anywhere which means there can be barriers of
communication amongst employees, between different levels of management. This can have bad
consequences from view point of company. Such as there can be increase in level of stress
between employees and employers also. Unhealthy and improper communication can lead to
misconceptions and misinterpretation being formed by individuals in company.
These acts can have a very negative impact on overall productivity of employees. They
are not able to work with concentration and satisfaction. Many situations also occur in

because of lack of proper communication. Decrease in morale can also be a negative

Teamwork always provide positive impact on the operations of the company as different people
work in the same direction. According to me, a team should be built by choosing employees who
are skilled and capable of performing as per the instructions of the leader. Each one in the team
should be allotted individual tasks which can be achieved within the deadline. In this way, their
sole activities will be combined for getting desired results. On coming to the supporting part, a
team should always be supported. I as a CEO believe that, every person needs motivation to
follow the guidelines and perform accordingly. This helps in improving the teamwork.
Furthermore, each of the member should be given the chance to participate in decision making so
that they can share their ideas which can be used for making decisions. Also, there should be

role as CEO and I should set an example for others in order to encourage them to become leader

businesses should an effective balance among the needs or requirements of stakeholders as well

of appropriate business principles, ethics, policies and practices, norms about the different
possible disputes, which includes bribery, corporate governance, insider trading, corporate social
responsibility, discrimination as well as fiduciary responsibilities. Leadership refers to cation of
