Human Resource Management can be defined as the employee management within an
organization. It includes the several functions and activities which are at the responsibility of the
human resource people. Such as recruitment and selection, on boarding and induction, training
and development, performance appraisals, exit interviews and many more. The following
discussion is based on the recruitment and selection domain of the human resource management.
Recruitment and selection can be defined as the process of looking of the candidates in order to
fill the vacant position in the company. It includes the screening of the candidates with the
process of interviews and selection techniques for final selecting of the candidate. It helps in
selection of the right candidate for the right job in a strategic manner in a systematic way. Job
description and person specification are the parts of recruitment and selection tools which helps
in attracting the best skilled candidates towards the organization. It includes the summary of the
entire job specifications so that candidate can overview the same for applying for the job. The
following discussion is based on the job profile of assistant tutor for student experience at the

established in 1999. University is now moving to the new waterside
campus and looking for the Assistant Tutor for Student Experience
(Level 4 Business and HRM).
Post Assistant Tutor for Student Experience (Level 4 Business and HRM).
Job overview University is expected the full-time role would assist the lecturing
teams in Business and HRM to render academic study skills and
subject assistance to current level 4 students.
The role will also include undertaking personal tutoring,
administration support and 100 hours of teaching for level 4 subjects.
It would also impart towards the student experience for level 4
students, studying on Business and HRM programmes, at the
