INTRODUCTIONIn every business organisation, recruitment and selection is very significant concernthrough which company can able to search and recruit the efficient and talent workforce whichassist in attainment of desired objective and evolve competitive advantage. Recruitment is aprocess under which manager analyse, assess, observe the quality, skill, efficiency andknowledge of candidate and select according to requirement of organisation (Asiedu-Appiah,,Aduse-Poku and Abeeku-Bamfo, 2013). At the time of planning for recruitment, HR managerhave major role and responsibility because the entire process of selection and recruitment isdepends upon the participation of manager in the organisation. The following report is based onthe process of recruitment and selection with the respect of Coffee ville which is a family ownedand run cafe located in Melbourne. Now cafe manager requires an effective full time and parttime cafe manger who can perform their roles and responsibility in an effective manner andattain the CoffeeVille objective.Main Body1 Review the CoffeeVille simulated business documentationAs per the given case scenario, the CoffeeVille Pty Ltd is a well designed cafe which haslaunched on the 1 July 2009.It is a partnership type of business structure which main aim is todeliver the high quality food products like superior hot and cold gourmet food and beverage to itscustomer in the market. It's another aim is to deliver fast and friendly services and earnmaximum profitability and market share from the market. The cited venture owner is a EmmaBelcastran and Rufus Belcastra who has done MBA from the university of Melbourne and 15year experience in financial management (Chaneta, 2014). Rufus have well experience aboutmanagement and operated various small business including cafes. Another owner Emmabelcastran has done diploma in marketing and have experience of 13 year in customer services,sales and marketing. The business unit main vision is to establish itself as a premier provider of gourmetcoffee and food for the ethically and socially aware Melbourne coffee drinker. Its strategicdirections for the coming 12 months is to increase profit, control direct and indirect operationcost, provide high quality food product, establish CoffeeVille brand as ethical and maintain high1

skilled workforce. CoffeeVille developed its campaign on the social media and can communicateby email and various social media channel. The profile for a CoffeeVille customer consisted bythe geographical, demographical and behavioural basis.2.Identification of the role for the position of cafe managerialCoffeVille is currently open 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. The owner of the cafe havewanted to open the cafe on Saturday. Therefore, business unit requires to hire a cafe managerwho is able to manage customer complaints, take responsibility for higher level cafe operationand manage the staff performance. In addition to this the said manager will work from Mondayto Saturday. In the present time, in the cited cafe required a Cafe manager who have at least fiveyear experience in the management department and who must have financial and performancemanagement skill (Djabatey, 2012). The owner Rufus would like to hire an individual with aqualification that is relevant to operating and managing a small business. As per the EMMABelcastran owner, the cafe manager will available for the full time work week 38 hours. Sheallows that candidate of any age, gender, cultural background feels to welcomes. In addition tothis, as per the view of Emma the said cafe manager should have understanding of fair principles,exceptional communication skill, strong understanding of coffee products, sales and customerservice skill, ability to manage vendors and maintain inventory, ability to run staff meeting etc.As per the view of Joe Belfone who is current cafe manager desire the candidate for position ofcafe manager who can help of Joe Nelfone .The said candidate must have knowledge aboutcoffee ville product, good communication skill, excellent communication skill. Furthermore, thenew cafe manger should have understanding of food and beverage operation and who haveresponsibility to ordering any supplies needed for the cafe, coordinating cafe schedule, coveringdifferent shifts etc.2
