INTRODUCTION
Talent management is consider to be a crucial part of an organisation as it support in
managing the high skilled employees for achieving competitive advantage by dealing with
number of challenges that are present in marketplace (Meyers and Van Woerkom, 2014). It is
basically a systematic process that support in determining the vacant position and requirement of
skills for accomplishing set of objectives and then recruiting, managing and retaining the
employees for best possible outcome. But in order to achieve this line manager and leaders lays a
significant role by guiding and directing the employees toward the specified targets so that they
can be prepared for upcoming challenges. In order study about the their role current study is
being performed which is based on Hilton hotel

Overview of topic:-
Talent managements act as a facilitatory of skills, capability, competencies and expertise
that an organisation mainly require to deal with the changing demand of target market. This is so
because it involve set of practices or strategies that are mainly performed by the line manager or
leaders in order to ensure that employees perform their tasks in effective manner so that
organisational objectives can be accomplished along with achieving competitive edge (Sikora
and Ferris, 2014). The current is based on Hilton hotel, which is a large multinational hospitality
company that manage a range of hotels and resort throughout the world for providing
accommodation services. Bit as the competition is getting higher it become crucial to provide
more and more satisfactory services to the customers for remaining competitive and deal with
their changing demand. For this it remain crucial for Hilton hotel to manage its talent effectively
and keep them prepare for future challenges. The main aim and objective behind conducting this
study are mentioned below:

To explore about the role of Talent management within an organisation
To determine the importance of line manager and leader for employee’s development of

Rationale:-
The main reason behind conducting this study is to gather an insight regarding how the
line manager and leaders support an organisation in managing its talent effectively by ensuring
the best possible outcome (Farndale, Pai, Sparrow and Scullion, 2014). It also support
researching in putting light over the importance of talent management for an hospitality
organisation and manner in which it help in development of employees that leads to
organisational success while ensuring effective implication of the study.

According to the view point of Cora Llamas, 2018, talent management is not just
restricted to managing human resources rather it plays a significant role within forming up
business strategy as it manage important asset of company i.e. employees. It plays a major role
within an organization by supporting it in attracting the top talents that help in exploiting the
market opportunity and combatting with issues in order to achieve competitive edge.
