effective in order to increasing performance of an organisation by executing correct tools at the
right place. FleXtel is telecommunication organisation and it pioneered usage of personal
numbering in the telecommunications. In order to enhancing performance level, this firm uses
advanced technology (Argote, 2012).
1.2 Background of research
As FleXtel is a telecommunication organisation and there are large number of people
which are loyal towards this firm and use quality services of this firm. This firm is longest
running virtual organisation and establish in 1992 year. FleXtel firm connect with its consumers
with the help of social media. Firm apply better marketing model in context to hire distributors
and staff members to provide effective or fast services to consumers. This company operates its
business operations as well as activities in two various segments like consumer acquisition and
customer management (Doong and Ho, 2012).
1.3 Rationale of Research
This investigation take in to consideration on determine significance of digital
technologies in enhancing sales and profit of small organisation. The main focus of this report is
on the digital technology and also its importance to the small business in context to enhancing
sales along with the profit level. It is helpful in enhancing the knowledge as well as skills of an
investigator so that it will be beneficial for researcher in future. If the concept of investigation
will be clear to investigator then it will easily perform all research related tasks and also attain
the set objectives with better outcomes with in a specific period of time.

1.5 Timescales

The date to start made the research aims and objectives is 17 April 2018 and finish date is 18
April 2018. After this the research methodology is design from, date 19 April 2018 to 23 April,
2018. in order to complete the literature review for give answers of different questions is
completed in 24 April, 2018 to 25 April, 2018. Data collection is to be completed with in 5 days
means 26 April 2018 to 2 May, 2018. Data analysis was completed in 4 days i.e. 3 may, 2018 to
8 may, 2018. After finish all task, conclusion and recommendation is necessary and it was
completed from 9 May 2018 to 10 May 2018. The data of final submission of research project
was 11 May 2018.

2011). It can be Quantitative and Qualitative in the nature. The quantitative data is based on the

Among both the methods of researcher, an investigator will select the qualitative method because
it provides information in detailed manner related to specific research topic.

are different in nature but under this researcher uses descriptive research design for better

order to conduct research in better way, investigator uses interpretivism research philosophy
because it provides qualitative report to an investigator.

Research approach refers to procedure and plan that includes some steps of the wider
assumptions to detailed data collection methods, interpretation and analysis. It is an important
research tools which gives support to researcher to conduct research. There are deductive and
inductive approach of research. Through both approach, an investigator can collect relevant data
(Sweetser, English and Fernandes, 2015). An inductive research approach begins with theories as
well as observations that are to be proposed towards end of process of investigation. The

deductive research approach is process of the reasoning from one statement to reach at the
logical conclusion. In addition to this, there is inductive approach taken through research because
it provides quality data or information.
3.5 Data sampling
Data sampling refers to statistical analysis technique that is used to chosen manipulate as
well as analyse subset of the data in order to determine trends in large data set. Under this, there
is a sample size selected through researcher and in this 30 respondents are included which give
their different opinions and view points regarding topic of research. There are probabilistic and
non-probabilistic techniques of sampling but research used probabilistic technique to collect
data. The sample population that is selected for collection of data is employees. There are 30
employees chosen by investigator for gather data related to specific topic. Random data sampling
is a main part of probabilistic sampling. So for collecting data researcher used the Random data
sampling.
3.6 Data Analysis
Data analysis is process of cleansing, inspecting, modeling and transforming of data with
an aim of discovering the useful information and support the decision making. Under this data is
analyse by using the questionnaire. It is a necessary part and in this researcher analyse collect
information or data. It has many approaches and facts used through an investigator in order to
communicate better result.
3.7 Ethical Consideration
It is regarded as most important research part and there are some problems arise at the
time of conducting research programme and these are time and cost (Kallunki, Laitinen and
Silvola, 2011). On the other hand it is a duty of an investigator to secure information of
respondents confidential.

5.1 Recommendation
It has been recommend from above research project is that FleXtel firm should use
innovate as well as creative advertisement methods to attract large number of consumers.
Company can provide its services as well as goods through online because the people want to
buy goods without going to store. It is an effective method to attract consumers and save their
time as well as money. It is necessary that government should encourage the small firms to use
digitalization for better economic development of country. On the other hand firm should update
its technology in continuous time period because it will provide many advantages to business in
future. Under this, it is essential that company should use the cost leadership strategy because
consumers are attracted towards the local cost products with the different quality. If the quality
of product will be low then it will help in attain the competitive benefits at marketplace.
5.2 Ethics
Ethics refers to the moral principles, norms and regulations which need to be followed by
a researcher at the time of conducting an investigation. The ethics in research is helpful in
analyse the all ethical problems which are enhanced when persons are more included as the
participants in an investigation. It is a responsibility of an investigator to make the information of
respondents confidential so that they can not able to provide the necessary data or information to
investigator related to specific research area. On the other hand, research ethics provide the
guideline for conduct an investigation in a responsible manner.
5.3 Reflection
Under this, my experience was somewhere good at the time of conducting an
investigation. I learned many things during the research. The main issues which I faced at the
time of investigation are related to the time as well as cost. I do not have much time to conduct al
research activities. I was unable to develop the proper time management plan for managing the
activities in an effective manner. On the other hand, I do not have the proper amount to perform
all the research related activities. So, from these both mistakes, I learned that I need to develop a
plan and enhance my time management as well as money management skills. If the time will be
manage on the basis of set activities then I was unable to face any issue and same as with the
cost.

In order to collecting the data, investigator uses the questionnaire method in which
different questions are mentioned. It is helpful in provide the better or effective outcomes of
research. An alternative methodology that researcher can use is Interview and under this, an
interviewer asks questions from the interviewee about the particular topic. It is more reliable as
comparison to the questionnaire method.
5.4 Conclusion
From the above given report, it has been concluded that digitalisation enhance
development as well as productivity of firm. Company can take revenues and sales through using
electronic data in order give advertisements of services or goods. Under this mention business
project studied regarding effectiveness and importance of digital technology in context to
enhancing sales as well as make improvement in performance level of business. For increasing
sales, there are different methods are used through company. The manager of FleXtel company is
very capable and provide training to its staff members by using different technology in order to
enhance their skills and abilities. Digital technology makes the revolutionary modifications in the
advertisement methods. Digitalisation gives large number of benefits to business of FleXtel so
that it can enhance its growth. There was discussion regarding expand of business by using
digitalisation in its business.
