INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is the integral part which helps the individual to
enhance their efficacy to play different role and manage the entire work process in an effective
form (Guskey and Yoon,2009). Personal and professional development is the process through
which individual engages into different types of learning to meet the challenges and desirable
goals. This project report evaluates the different approaches of self-managed learning through
which individual adopts different ways to encourage lifelong learning as well as its benefits.
Further, proper evaluation of the skills and competencies will be done to identify the
development needs and opportunities. Effective plan is developed with the processes and
activities to implement it. With the help of proper evaluation and feedback, plan will be
developed in an effective manner. Along with this, solutions are selected for the work based
problems and different styles are adopted to communicate with the evaluation of time
management strategies.
TASK 1
1.1 Evaluation of the different approaches to self-managed learning
Self-managed learning is related to the self-initialization of the learning process that are
associated with the clear goals setting that can be attained with the adaptation of the different
approaches and techniques to manage the learning in an effective manner (Frumer and Friedman,
2014).
Learning can be done through research in which information can assess with the help of
internet. Hence, in a few seconds, large amount of information is make available through which
individual can acquire knowledge and enhance his/her learning. Through this, they can get wider
accessibility to the information and result into the enhancement of self-managed learning.
Likewise, individual can adopt the learning from others aspect through which they can
enhance their knowledge and improve their skills. Through this, individual can be able to handle
the various issues in an effective manner as the efficacy of the individual is enhanced through
learning from others who are their mentor. This approach result into formation of the good
relationship between one another. However, mentoring and coaching help individual to enhance
their learning in an effective and efficient manner (What are Coaching and Mentoring?. 2015).

There are different ways through which learning of individual can be encouraged for life

manage their learning (Malm, 2009.). They adopt proper means through which they enhance
their learning and maintain the overall functioning of Hilton.

Self-managed learning creates new purpose for the advancement which results into the
personal and professional development of individual.
Through this, new career path is available to the individual by adopting and making the

The main objective is to recruit the good staff to manage the entire operations in an

SMART (Specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound). In order to be competent
enough individual require the certain skills to meet the desired goals of the organization.
