EXECUTIVE SUMMARYIn today's competitive environment it becomes important for the organisations to have astrong strategy planning that will help company in succeeding their future business. Thesestrategies needs to be made citing the conditions and position of the company. Apple is one ofthe largest firm of the world irrespective of the industry. It deals in the business of electronic andsoftware products like personal computers and operating systems. It was founded in the year bySteve jobs in the year 1976. The purpose of this report is to perform strategic plan for the Appleso that it can grow in a sustainable manner. This report also proposes alternative strategy forApple and its effectiveness in achieving its goals and objectives. It also analyses theeffectiveness of current strategy and their drawbacks. This report highlights the issues that arefaced by the company and the strategic alternative that is applied by the company so as toencounter and eliminate it.1

The key issues faced by AppleThere are several issues that are faced by the company that arises on regular basis someof the issues are resolved by the taking effective decision while some are very difficult to tackleand a sound strategic plan is required so as to encounter or face these issues. Some of the keyissues faced by Apple is as follows:Competition: Company is facing intense competition from many of the companies thathave arrived in the local as well as international market. They are offering a large numberof features in their products at a very price range (Abdolshah and Abdolshah, 2011). Thelevel of rivalry is increasing day by day as the advancement in technology is very fast andlot of researches are going on the market so Apple needs to continuously invest on itsresearch and development so that company can grow sustainably. Any lagging can lead tobig loss in the market as in this industry any company can make use of their researches todevelop new products.Inefficient leadership: After the demise of Founder Steve jobs company is the hands ofTim cook who as a leader has proved to be in effective in leading the company. He doesnot have visionary approach as Steve Job was having.There are certain other issues like the rising competitors product quality and stagnation inthe Apple's innovation speed.Current strategy and its linkage with vision and mission of the company.Apple right now is following strategy that is new product development. This has been theunique feature of the company as its founder Steve Jobs believed that innovation is the only thingupon which a company can use to grow progressively. Each of the Apple's new product isinnovative and has advanced features that is best in the market (Amrollahi, Ghapanchi andTalaei-Khoei, 2013). From the past several years company has aggressively worked on itsresearch and development so that it can reach to new horizons of business. Due to this strategycompany has made new innovative electronic devices such as I phones, I pads, I pods and severalother products. Every year company is launching some of its products with new features like theversion of I phones and I pads. Other than this it has made so many changes in its Mac operatingsoftware and the new innovation have proved to be smarter. There is continues innovation in itsoperating software like iOS ( version 11 is currently being used) and MacOS (Version 10.7 iscurrently being used) have been made regularly.
