have knowledge about their subject which is the foremost responsibility of the teacher. In order
to teach perfectly, there is need to have expertise in the specialist area so that the teacher could
pursue opportunities and make students up-to-date about Current Knowledge in their subject
area. A teacher is required to teach effectively which the main responsibility of them is. The
teaching includes planning and preparing the courses and lectures. They need to maintain
classroom discipline as well as instructions to demonstrate competency. That is your need to
design and implement management practices and a curriculum through which they can carry out
all the teaching practices effectively. Also, a teacher is liable to bring motivation in the mind of
student to learn and be able to self acceleration coma making choices and setting their own goals.
In the level of primary or pre primary classes students are taking first stage of their education so
that teacher play a vital role in that case (Higashida, 2021). As a child would not only listen to
what teacher says but they observe and repeat what teacher does? The approach and behaviour is
very important in case of Pre primary teaching as children grapes readily their action. A teacher
perform role as a mentor mediator inspiration and collaborator. Therefore, in my own area of
specialisation as a mathematician for primary classes so that in my education and training coma I
need to remain my behaviour polite and as per the children likes. My roles and responsibility
includes to demonstrate an effective curriculum to the students coma prepare lessons and lectures
to showcase the student about what they are going to learn in an attractive manner. Also, I need
to keep check on children behaviour and attitude towards learning and make them motivated
through indulging them in interesting activities like play drama music and many more. My
responsibilities are to make each and everyone able to learn effectively and be able to complete
the work at home and keep on checking the regular work correct the mistake in the initial stage
of learning. As a teacher of maths for primary classes I have different roles and responsibility as
the other professional teachers in education and training sector. The teachers of higher education
do not required to make much concentrate on each and every activities of student. Whereas I
need to provide my hole concentration on learners as the children on learning stage which
require proper attention and motor skills.
Summarise relevant legislations, regulatory requirements and code of practice

Diversity act 2010 is the important legislation which I need to follow while teaching a large
number of students simultaneously. In which, I treat each and every student whether it is boy or a

most important in education sector so that every child whether it is disable need to get special
treatment and attention so that they would not feel excluded.
Explain the ways to promote appropriate behaviour, respect for others and equality and
value for diversity in education and training
A Teacher Play a vital role in promoting good behaviour and attitude, values and equality
in education and training. The classroom is not only to teach about lessons and work on
curriculum but also it provides immense knowledge and builds values in an individual.
Therefore, the teacher shows the importance of appropriate behaviour in which students are
required to behave in proper manner and respect each and everyone they meet in their day to day
life. Children must need to treat and respect everyone whether they are peers or teachers, family
around them. I promote these values in my students through keeping them awake and instructed
about how to behave (Hurley, and Van Dyke, 2019).. I Indulge student in group activities play
music and other recreational functions in which they get to know each other and develop a sense
of value. Also to promote equality and diversity coma I make students involve with the groups in
which all the types of individual are present so that it will eliminate any get differences and
promote good communication as well as completion of work in a well manner.

individuals as some are quick learners and some are slow. Therefore, it is important to identify
each individual characteristics and behaviour which will make them better in learning and
acquiring knowledge. As a teacher of mathematics comma I need to meet with every individual
need in order to achieve 5 goals which are described below:
Achieving quality: the classroom is filled with different kinds of children like some are
quite emotional social and having different attitudes towards their learning. So that I am too to
analyse each one of them and provide teaching in such a manner that will fulfil their needs.
Analysing their strength and weakness helps me to eliminate any barriers and challenges. For
example, if a student does not learn appropriately how to place number value coma I will bi
using real life examples my demonstrating some pictures and images which will gain their
interest towards learning.
Develop talent colon it is also the most important aspect in teaching. As mathematics is
quite Complex and cognitive subject which require an analysation and observation to complete
the formulas and numerical effectively, as a teacher I need to look for the process of
understanding of each student to analyse their talent. This will gain through making an
interesting classroom by putting questions and quiz among all the learners.
Plan classroom activities: it is also most important factor to meet with the needs of
individual. Planning classroom activities will help the teacher to gain individual interest and
fulfil personal needs of learner (Davis, and Davis, 2020). As mathematics is sometimes become
a boring subject when it does not lead to an understanding of student so that it is necessary to
make students indulge in activities which are training forecast. These activities will include
demonstration of numbers comma Abacus and other classroom play which will help the teacher
them in a better way. It will lead to make group interactions and general supervision so that both
the students and teacher will get to know each other.
An Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
In the sector of education and training, the initial and diagnostic assessment plays a vital role in
our growing with individual learning goals.
The initial assessment: this is a part of initial study which a learner undertakes before
going forward to attain a new course of study. It defines the learner about what they are going to
each individual characteristics and behaviour which will make them better in learning and

assessment will help to know the teacher about whether the student is liable to take the course
and prepare them for the further learning. The teacher will be aware about current knowledge
and experience of learner in the area of field. In my own area coma I mainly focus on working
for the skills of mathematics so that the learners will be initially know about the assessment and
be on the on the right track. It mainly includes three stages in which learners get a short about
their curriculum and then the other stage will meet their ability to enter into the course. In my
own area of specialisation, the learners will get to sit in a mandatory examination by GCSE. If
they achieve grade C or above they need to give the re-examination to get eligible for enter into

I have to be more attentive and table to make relations with students.
I need to make better planning and curriculum so that the students will get an Insight at the initial stage

Action required to improve your skills for further development (planning, delivering and

The actions which are required for planning coma delivering and assessment it is required to make my
interpersonal skills more appropriate so that I could communicate with my students. I need to manage

TASK 6
Methods of assessment used in education and training
Educational assessment are the systematic processes that helps to know about the
knowledge experience believes skills of a student. The ultimate goal is to quantify the knowledge
of the students (Sharp and Lang, 2018). They are also known as educational evaluations. It can
happen both online and offline. The various types of educational assessment are discussed
below:
Alternative assessment
It is one of the method of evaluation that measures the ability of student. The purpose is
to know how much they have acquired the new knowledge. They are given the task that they
have to complete. It is an instructor led method that specifically is designed to tailor the needs
and abilities of student. The students of class are involved in complex tasks where their
mathematical skills are test. It helps to know about the proficiency of the students in the subject.
Advantages
This method is aligned with the expected learning outcomes.

Advantages
This method is aligned with the expected learning outcomes.
Attention is given to quality of work that is done by the students.
Disadvantages
It is a time-consuming process.
It is very subjective in nature.
Authentic assessment
It is a realistic method in which students are given real life solutions so that they can
solve it with their knowledge. The purpose is to check there clear understanding about the
course content as well as subject matter(Li and Schoenfeld, 2019). Authentic assessment is a
two-way method where the skills of students are tested and improvement areas are also analysed.
Advantages
This method of assessment makes the students active participant.
It empowers the instructor and ask better questions from the learners.
Disadvantages
It is highly subjective
It is a detailed assessment.
Summative assessment
It is most common form types of assessment that is being used. A standard is set and the
performance of students is evaluated on the basis of a test. The purpose is to check the ability of
student and compare it with other students.
Advantages
It is standardized method.
This method of assessment plays an important role in moving the student to higher level.
Disadvantages
This method can sometime discourage the students.
The results are taken very seriously by the parents of the students.

Formative Assessment
It is an ongoing educational assessment where thepurpose of instructor is to check the
performance of the student on daily basis(Bogusevschi, Muntean and Muntean, 2020). Student is
monitored in the class after the lessons are taught to them.
Advantages
It helps instructor to get data driven decisions.
The instructor also gets help to enhance their method of teaching as per the
specification of learners.
Disadvantages
It is time consuming process because teacher has to implement several methods for
effective teaching.
The teacher has to evaluate performance of each and every student and that takes lot of
time
High stake assessment
In this assessment the instructor puts a lot of things for the student. Thepurpose is to
evaluate result of this assessment are used to make the decisions related to performance of
learners. Passing these test help to know that they can be promoted to next class.
Advantages
It is a standardized way of taking assessment.
This is motivating for the students.
Disadvantages
The students are under a lot of pressure that impacts their performance.
The result may sometimes not show the real performance of student.
Pre assessment
Before taking part in any training course the pre assessment take place. Its purpose is to
know about the knowledge of the student in the subject matter.
Advantages
It helps to know the ability of the student.
It also helps the students to know if they are eligible for the course.

The purpose of this assessment is to ask students about their learner. It helps to know the
overall performance of the students and their activeness in learning.
Advantages
This method promotes student engagement.
It is a flexible method of assessment.
Disadvantages
It is performance based assessment.
Some specific skilled set is required.
Portfolio based assessment
As per the name suggest the purpose of assessment is to check the work that is done by
the students (Treiman, 2018). The students have to submit their portfolio to the instructor so that
they can give great and evaluate their performance.
Advantages
It is easy to give grades.
Real time feedback can be given
Disadvantages

Analyse their effectiveness in relation to meeting the individual needs of learners
1. Formativeassessmentis regular evaluation of the students that checks the performance
of the students. I being a teacher take test of the student of regular basis related to the
topics that are taught. It helps the learners to know about their knowledge(Yli-Panula,
Jeronen and Lemmetty, 2020). The leaders know the topics that they do not understand
and then I teach them again.
2. Pre assessment is another method that helps to satisfy the needs of learner. It is a way

TASK 7
Identify and explain the methods and media of communication used in the classroom
Communication plays a major role in teaching. Effective medium of communication helps
to enhance the learning experience of teaching. the various mode of teaching used are discussed
below:
Verbal communication: It includes use of words while delivering the message to the students. It
is done through to effective phrases used. Body language also plays a vital role in face to face
communication. It is seen that with the help of verbal communication tables are taught to the
students(Nilson and Goodson, 2021). I dictate tables being a teacher and then the student repeat
them. It is important to make students learn.
Advantage
This method helps to learn things and retain them in mind. The students are able to
repeat it again and again and that enhance their retaining power.
Disadvantage
Being a mathematics teacher I require written communication more than verbal
communication. Because students are taught by looking at black board or white board
so that they are able to learn effectively.
Written communication
It is another method used to communicate in the class. It is a traditional method where
pen, paper is used to communicate with the students. They are given addition and subtraction
questions that they have to solve. It is a formal way of communication.
Advantage
The students are able to learn effectively as well as their mistakes are identified. They
are able to revise the concept as it is noted with them in written form.
Disadvantage
It is a time taking process. If there are more students in the class, then it becomes
difficult to communicate with all of them and check their progress on regular basis.

and verbal communication. Here in the PowerPoint presentation which is in the written form is
provided to the students and I being a teacher dictate and explain the same. I note all the
necessary points in the PowerPoint presentation and help them to learn effectively(Sjöström,
Frerichs, Zuin and Eilks, 2017). It helps me to teach in online mode as well.
Advantage
The verb is made simpler as students are able to see as well as listen. It in hands is
there power to learn and retain the concepts taught in mathematics.
Disadvantage
The teacher has to you take a lot of time out of their scheduled to make a good PPT. It is
a time consuming process of communication in teaching.
Video
It is seen that there is need to use video platforms to teach the students. At the time of
Covid-19 there is need to teach the students online. The use of video call was done so that are
able to learn effectively. It is examined that the study material was sent to students by e-mail and
other applications (Buentello-Montoya, Lomelí-Plascencia and Medina-Herrera, 2021). It is
important to provide all the information to the students and interact with them in an effective
manner.
Advantages
It helps to provide information to the students at any point of time. It is seen that there is

It is important for a teacher to meet the needs of the learner. There are a lot of learning
approaches that are used by me in order to enhance the experience of learning. The students must
be provided effective environment and wise so that they are able to retain the knowledge. It is
seen that while teaching with the help of board show full enthusiasm is so that learners are able
to learn effectively(Webster, 2017). I always try to analyse the requirements of the learners and
take feedback hand two ends in order to enhance the way of teaching. Being a flexible teacher I
use written communication whenever it is desired by the students. I write each and every thing as
well as communicate it at the same time so that it they are able to learn in an effective manner.
Along with the use of PowerPoint presentation facilitate the study. I provide them the resources
that include graphics as well as images that help them to learn effectively. There are quizzes that
they can take with the help of PowerPoint presentation and it also enhance their learning
experience. These are the approaches of learning that help enhance the experience of the
students. Mathematics is made interesting with the help of different approaches used in order to
engage the students while learning.
It is necessary to note that there is need to use effective approaches at the time of online
mode of teaching. I used to take feedback from the students at the end of class so that they are
able to share each and everything. Communication and formative assessment plays a key role in
enhancing the experience of learning(Lemoine, Rana and Burgin, 2018). It is necessary to use
right ways of evaluating the performance so that they students can be rewarded and motivated to
learn. It seen that assessment helps to know the performance of students in an effective manner.

There is need of proper planning in order to deliver the lessons effectively. I use all the resources
in an appropriate manner so that the students are able to learn. The use of PowerPoint
presentation assists me in delivering the lessons appropriately. At the same time evaluating the
performance of students on regular basis with the help of formative assessment is necessary.
There is requirement of some resources such as projectors and laptop that help me to learn. I
observe all the students and analyse their requirements so that I am able to teach in an effective
manner(Uerz, Volman and Kral, 2018). Being a teacher it is necessary to take care of all the
students at a time. I always focus on the needs of the learners. Individual is different and have
their own mind set. A focus on their level of learning and provide them different options of
learning. I repeat on things so that they are able to retain them in their minds and use wherever
required. I also ensure that all the students are able to learn(Silva, and dos Santos, 2020). No
doubt there is so much time taken in evaluating the needs and wants of the students I focus on
providing them best. Analyse that inclusive learning is effective. The development of all the
individuals is necessary and integral part of teaching process.
Identify areas for improvement to enhance your practice and state five steps you will take for

I have identified that there is need to enhance some of the skills so that I am able to walk
and achieve goals and objectives effectively. I have analysed that preparing a continuous
improvement plan will help me to enhance those skills.
1. Conduct SWOT analysis.
2. Analyse the points of weakness in an effective manner.
3. Plan the actions for improvement of the weakness.
4. Follow the steps of improvement.
5. In the end major the result.
