TASK 1 1) Team purpose, objectives and goals Oxfam is a charitable organisation and its main focus is on alleviation of poverty globally. In this firm, there is a team which works together for poor people. Team purpose of Oxfam-Its purpose to assess develop lasting and effective solution to an injustice of poverty (Xu and et. al., 2012). Objective of Oxfam- Its objective is to remove poverty from all over the world. Firm empowers people so that their future will be secured. Oxfam Goals- The major goal of people is to bring positive change in livelihood of individual who are living poorly. 2) Team roles and responsibilities Roles Main role of team is to ensure safety of participants at the time of event Team members should fulfil the needs of participants Responsibilities Work on the basis of organisational procedure Get involved in the training programmes (Hoever and et. al., 2012) 1
3) Strategies used to encourage team members Strategies for encouraging team members are as follows: Include them in decision making-To encourage the employees, it is an effective method. Manager should involve them in decision making process so that they can do their work in an effective manner (9 Super Effective Ways to Motivate Your Team,2017). Training-Training helps in improving the abilities and skills of staff members. From this, their performance level will get improved. Problem solving-If at workplace, any conflict arise, then in this case, manager should use appropriate problem solving techniques (Bradt, Check and Pedraza, 2011). 4) Information from line management shared with team Line manager will communicate information toteam leader in order to convenework which has been allotted to team members.
