Development Interfaces
The interfaces related to the job need to be taken care. The interfaces for the work package
is receiving the data ‘what need to print’, ‘font size’, ‘color of print’, ‘list of signage’ etc. shall

Operations and Maintenance Interfaces
The new signage and its boards need to be kept aligned with the existing one. They both
must be dealt as one single and henceforth for any maintenance both the sign boards
should be done parallel.
Configuration Management Requirements
For the development of new signage many design criteria are required to be considered
and the design may go under various stages of review and revisions are bound to happen.
So the work package manager need to document every change happened with the date of
change and name of the person who initiated change and the approver’s name too.
So a version control or configuration control sheet must be developed for capturing the
above changes to avoid rework in case of further development in future.
Joint Agreements
Cost: AUD 5900 (including supply and installation charges)
Start date of ‘New Signage’: 25 October 2017
End date of ‘New Signage’: 15 January 2018
Key milestones:
Start Work Package 3.1: 25th October 2017
Placement of order: 30th October 2017
Start production: 7th November 2017
End Production: 7th December 2017
Delivered at CQU campus: 13th December 2017
Start Installation: 14th December 2017
End Installation: 15th January 2018
End Work Package 3.1: 15th January 2018
Tolerances
Cost tolerance: 10% of work package value, i.e. AUD 590 + AUD 5900 = AUD 6490

Time tolerance: Total float available for the work package is +9 days, i.e. end
milestone cannot be delayed more than 24th January 2018
Constraints
Quality & Security are the only constraint which cannot be tolerated with any deflection.
The standard of the product must be exactly as per the quality standard set and provided
along with the work contract and the security system need to be augmented if required but
till the installation and handing over the new signage to CQU administration, it shall be the
sole responsibility of the executing contractor to take care of its safety.
Reporting Arrangements
Frequency of Reports: the status report of the work package shall be provided at
every week till the ‘start of production’ and afterwards the report should be
submitted at every alternate day
Content of Checkpoint Report: the report should have all necessary information like
the progress percentages, progress stage, comparison with baseline schedule,
expenditures, S-curve, trend report of production and installation
Problem Handling and Escalation
Proper issue and risk register is required to be maintained and owned by the work package
manager. The issues and risk already identified and the new findings must be included in
the register along with the revision dates, risk identifier, any critical issue which can affect
any of the triple constraints of project management must be informed in red color along
with the progress reports and also circulated separately to project manager for highlighting
to higher management.
Extracts or References
For getting detailed access of the time schedule, please refer to the ‘overall project level III
schedule’ where the work package is included as a whole along with the other project
related activities.

Approval Method
Once the production of the product is completed, proper official call for quality inspection
request must come from the executing contractor through work package manager to the
quality manager, then once quality manager visits the shop and after inspection provides
stamp as ‘product is good and ready to install’ the quality manager need to provide
information to project manager with adequate document back-up of tests. Accordingly the
material should be dispatched; once receipt the store in charge shall cross check the
certificate provided by quality department with the material received to ensure proper
material is received. Daily the store manager shall send report to project manager to
appraise the status. This method of communication protocol needs to be followed to
properly transfer the work from one department to other along with informing the same to
project manager.
