INTRODUCTIONIn the present era, company places more emphasis on team work rather than individualaspects. For working with other people such as supervisors and staff personnel require high levelof qualities and competencies. When, staff of the organization effectively work in a team then itmay result into high level of productivity and profitability. Besides this, for provides right directionto the individual HR manager must have all the leadership qualities and characteristics. Throughthis, human resources(HR) manager is able to motivate the people to the large extent. This project report is based on the case scenario of Purple Mail company (PMC) which isone of the largest courier company of London. Now, company is facing effective leadership,administrative and management problems. In this regard, the present report will discuss the processwhich PMC needs to follow while recruiting and selecting people. Further, it will also describe theeffectiveness of the different styles of leadership which helps in managing people more efficiently.It will also shed light on the motivational aspects of personnel and team work which is vital forthe growth and development of PMC. Further, PMC can also invite more people bymaking advertisement on the social networking sites. Through this, business unit can developawareness among the large number of skilled and talented people about the job. Thus, this standardprocess will help company in recruit and select the best personnel for the job.1.2 Assessing the impact of legal, regulatory and ethical considerations to the recruitment and selection process for PM company Legal, regulatory and ethical aspects have high level of influence on the recruitment andselection process which is employed by PMC. With the aim to hire the best personnel for thevacant position PMC follows the several rules and regulation which are enumerated below: Legal and regulatory considerations: In order to build effective corporate image and toattract the best candidate for the job business unit requires to follow the below mentionedrules and regulations:Discrimination act: On the basis of basis of this act company does not discriminate peopleon the basis of age, sex, race, religion and caste etc. According to this act, PMC requires to givepreference to the skills, competencies and potential of the personnel rather than other aspects.Company needs to offer employment opportunity to each people who possess the desired level ofskills for the job advertised by the company (Bose, 2002). Through this, PMC is become able tobuild or sustain good image in the mind of existing and potential personnel. Equal opportunity act: According to to this act, company needs to offer equal employmentopportunity to all the people for the vacant designation who possess the skills and qualities. In this,PMC do not discriminate personnel on the basis of their disability and colour. On the basis ofcompany needs to consider the abilities and competencies of people while recruiting the personnelrather than their colour such as black or white (Brezina, 2008). Besides this, company also needs tooffer opportunity to handicapped or other disabled people who having required level of qualities.Thus, business organization needs to prepare distinct job description and specifications which offershigh level of convenience to them. Ethical considerations: As per the ethical consideration PMC should not discloseinformation of candidate in front of others without their permission. Besides this, companyalso needs to treat the candidate in a polite manner irrespective that whether they will recruitsuch personnel or not (Brody, 2005).
