INTRODUCTIONIt is necessary for every organisation to develop skills and abilities of their employees as it is directly associated with thegrowth and development of a business. It is essential for high authority to identify the needs and provide some necessary training toemployees so that they can develop their skills and abilities to perform in efficient manner (Amabile, 2012). It will also helporganisation to develop job satisfaction among employees due to which there will be high retention (Ford, 2014). This report willfocus on the different roles of human resources in Whirlpool. This company deals in manufacturing electronic items including allhome appliance in various countries. This report covers various types of skills, knowledge and attitudes that HR managers shouldcarry to perform best at their roles and responsibilities. This report also emphasis on personal audits, organisation learning, individuallearning and training and development. An application of various HPW practices along with different approaches of performancemanagement is also covered in this project report.TASK 1P1 Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour of HR practicesIn concern with HR managers; to improve the business performance and manage manpower in proper way, it is crucial forthem to improve their knowledge and skills. In the given scenario, Whirlpool Company of UK that deals in electronic manufacturingneeds to restructure its whole business structure. HR managers are required to represent a report at annual Confederation of BritishIndustry workshop that deals with communication system, performance management and collaboration of employees gives support tohigh-performance culture. Some of the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude required by HR managers are discussed below:Knowledges of HR professionals: Knowledge acts as base to run any business. Knowledge includes information, facts and skills thatan individual acquire from their own experience and education (Berry, 2011). To perform best at their roles and responsibilities, HRmanagers of Whirlpool should possess some of the following knowledge:

Government's rules and regulations: It is important for every HR manager to have deep knowledge about laws and legislations thatis made and implemented by Government. Whirlpool is being operated in different countries, so it is important for HR manager tohave knowledge about government laws of different countries to run business is legal way (Schaubroeck, Lam and Peng, 2011).Training: It is essential and significant for HR professional because it provide an effective chance to expand the skill andknowledge in another field. It also help and support to complete basic work tasks and develop confederation because it will increaseexposure and understanding of HR. Health and safety: It is another knowledge which should be posses by HR professional. Health and safety is introduce as animportant factor for human resource in order to promote wellness customers as well as employrs. Skills of HR professionals: With the help of skills and abilities, an individual is able to perform their roles and responsibilitiesin systematic way (Ford, 2014). To resolve the issues and problems regarding to business HR managers of Whirlpools should possessfollowing skills:Coordination Skills: It is important and essential for human resource professional because it enhance team work and leadsthen to get higher efficiency, relationship and goodwill in workplace. (Knowledge and skills required by HRprofessional,2016).Communication: HR managers should have effective communication skills to develop a proper communication channel in theworking environment so that conflicts among the employees can be reduced. Good communication channel enables to buildstrong relationship between management and employees.Attitude of HR professionals: Attitude shows behaviour people through which they perform their specific tasks and interact withothers to exchange their ideas, thoughts and messages. HR managers should carry a positive attitude towards works so that they caninfluence others to perform well for business success (Gibbs, 2013).

Good team work: It is important for HR professional because good teamwork develop synergy-where the combined impact ofthe group is better than the sum of each person efforts. It help human resource professional to deal difficult situation in moreeffective and systematic manner. Self confidence: It is definitely the important and key for Human resource success, particularly when it comes to higher degreeof productivity and performance in workplace. Thus, human resource management should always observe into employerconfidence at the duration of interview. P2. Personal Skill AuditPersonal skills audit gives opportunity to an individual to identify and determine one's own strength and weakness in effectivemanner. Through personal skills audit, individuals are able to determine well about field in which they need to take training forenhancing knowledge, skills and attitudes. As per as my profession, the methods of auditing also differs (Goetsch and Davis, 2014).So, in concern with the HR managers of multinational companies like Whirpool, they need to evaluate their own knowledge, skills andattitudes that is related to managing conflicts, multitasking tasks and decision-making process. Personal develop plan is a process by which an individual identify their own strength and weakness so that According todemand and requirement for performing such duties and responsibilities, I have designed a personal development plans to determinemy own strengths and weakness. This personal development plan also covers the process through which skills and abilities of minecan be developed. I can attain at high position at workplace by achieving opportunities through this business plan.Personal Skill auditIn order to determine the personal skills, I can use the SWOT analysis through which I can determine the weak areas alongwith the strengths. Also I can determine the areas where opportunities lies for me as well as the potential threats which can impact myperformance. perform the work on technical equipments and software inproper manner.My decision making skills are good through which I amtaking better and improved decisions for the betterment ofthe firm.Confidence skills helps the organization to resolve theissues in effective manner. lacking due to which I could interact with the employeesregarding their concerns and issues.My time management skills also lacks due to which Icould prioritise the work assigned to me.Team skills are lacking behind in me due to whichproductively level decreases.My leadership style is not strong enough due to whichdecision are not effective. In Confidentiality skills also I am not good. Due to thismany times I face problems.
