INTRODUCTION Human resources are an essential part of any kind of firm. The basic requirement of anorganisation is skilled workers, innovation, creations and commitment to labour force. Therefore,it is the responsibility of an organisation to pay proper attention on their human resources(Antony, 2011). This report is based on The Purple Mail Company which is one of largestcourier firm in UK. There is some issues within the company for recent years , but still there arelarge amount of customers which are dependant on this firm for their livelihood. They arelacking in checks and balances and to improve this a newly appointed HR manager is hired toprovide some stability in the company. Main purpose of this report is to analyse the process ofcarrying out recruitment process and also, skills and techniques needed in a leadership quality isalso mentioned in this report. A leader also motivates staff members to achieve their goals andobjectives easily. Also continuous monitoring is required for improving the working ofemployees..TASK 11.1 Step by step procedure to carry out selection process.For meeting the needs and requirement of the company and boosting its sales and marketposition, a manager is required. The main responsibility of manager is to work for productivityof team and management. Their aim is to achieve all the goals of the The Purple Mail Companycompany (Terkel, 2011). One more important job of a manager is to hire people for his firm.This is most crucial part of job of a hiring manager, as if he goes wrong there would be a dangerof bad atmosphere created in the office. The process involve of selecting people for accountantpost:Analyse the company tasks and goals while considering the responsibility of anaccountant..Work in progress for making procedures for carrying out selection process of accountantpost.The place is decided by HR, where the selection will be carried out.Proper code of conduct and drafting documents will be managed for making selection inthat particular area. Only those people will participate in such conduction who havecommerce background of accounts and finance subjects.

A question paper is set which contains the syllabus of accounts and finance department.Which will decide how many people will be drop out from the selection process. Afterclearing this screening test, the person will become eligible for the next procedure.Once the test is over. Those selected candidates will be taken to Audi for communicationtest. If they are well suited for the post and could speak well in this test, then they will bequalified for third round which is the last round.The last round is the interview phase, where individuals are taken to a room and one onone conversation takes place also they are requested to carry 2 passport size photo,original documents of 10th , 12th and graduation certificate.. Here they are asked abouttheir field and jobs and if they could satisfy the HR of the company they could getselected.After the selection is carried out, the one who are finally selected are provided with anoffer letter and some conformation to join the company.1.2 Factors required to be considered while recruiting and selecting a new staffEthical considerations: There is some provision of federal legislation to be used whilecarrying out selection process, so that recruitment process carried out in an ethical manner. Anytype of process for selection should be carried out before hand so that no last moment issuesshould arise. Even interviews to be carried out should be informed long before the actualconduction of process so that candidates are well prepared and aware of the program and shouldgive their best at the day of selection The syllabus of question pattern must be providedpreviously for students to prepare (Bush and Middlewood, 2013). After carrying out selection,considerable amount of time is given for people to respond for their job opportunity.Conformation should be in writing..Legal considerations: This involves the restriction on employer as according to all legalrules and regulations, they cannot make any unlawful activity or discrimination process on thebasis of gender, age, race, sex and religion. There should be high equality and fair practices onwhich the selection should take place. This would encourage more candidates to join the firm.
