INTRODUCTION
Leadership can be stated as process in which there are certain skills and abilities included
and along with that responsibilities assigning to members of team within workplace. In entire
scenario, Human resource management is the key element who looks out after hiring of
employees for completion of tasks and activities. In simple words, leadership is a kind of
guidance which is being provided to employees for completing allocated tasks (Brookfield,
2010). There are certain tools and techniques which are being utilised for making the HR
procedure effective in nature. In this report, company chosen is Purple Mail which deals in
courier services in the UK. This company majorly faces issues while delivering parcels to
customers and reason behind is effective workers. There are certain things which will be
discussed like structure of recruitment and selecting. Besides this, impact of leadership style and
needs of development within an individual will be studied.
TASK 1
1.1 Documentation for recruitment and selection process for the new staff
It is highly essential for a company specially who is dealing in courier services like
Purple Mail company to keep and gather all the records and keep them in systematic manner
within database (Chen and et. al., 2014). Keeping data is beneficial for a company as there are
some situations where the data is being needed to formulate plans and policies or making major
decision. Recruitment process is being needed to select the capable candidates as employees and
they are basically recruited on the basis of skills and abilities for certain objectives. Most
effective way through which it can done is job description which is being described below:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Name of organisation: Purple Mail Company
Job designation: Human resource officer
Location: United Kingdom
Reporting: HR manager
There are empty posts for many designations in PMC and they are:
Working hour: 11.00 a.m. To 7.00 p.m.
Salary: 15000£ per month
Working facility: Work from home and flexible working hour

Departments: Group, Team Leader, Managers of Workplace, Back office, Field executive and
Third mile delivery.
Reports to: Higher regime and leaders who are working at higher level.
Pay Salary: It is counted as per the skills, quality and allotted post to an individual.
Main purpose of the job: Major function of delivering parcel which can be done by gathering
from office and then taking it to the destination along with keeping monetary value which is
accepted from them.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Reaching on time at office and then collecting all the allotted parcels.
After delivering all parcels, reporting will be done to the managers.
Suitable and accurate records should be designed regarding money which is being
received.
PERSONAL DESCRIPTION
For this kind of post, it is required to have candidates who have high interest in the field of
executives and thus it is needed to have effective communication skills in order to give better
services to the customer which can make long lasting impact on customers in positive manner.
There are various skills and capabilities which are being needed in a team leader in order to
maintain database of the employee who is delivering parcels.
