workforce. The present report provides in-depth knowledge and understanding about human
resource's recruitment, motivation, team working etc. In addition to this, legal and regulatory
framework in the recruitment and selection process has been also addressed with respect of
United Parcel Service (UPS) Company. The major objective of this report is to understand the
criteria through which activities and performance of human resources can effectively be
managed in the corporation.

In UPS, being the HR manager I have major role and responsibility towards company of

process which can be divided in several stages- Developing a systematic recruitment documentation- Firstly, I had the responsibility to
prepare a systematic documentation for vacant position in the cited venture. In these documents,
I included all job responsibilities and person specification so that candidate can effectively
understand company’s requirements. Conducting interview and analysing efficiency of candidates- Once the applications are
gathered in company then I have conducted interview under which I assessed and analysed
candidate’s skills and knowledge as per firm’s requirement and accordingly, selected most
effective and the best candidate for respective positions. Objective oriented selection- In the entire process of recruitment and selection, I ensured
that selection must be on the basis of company’s objectives and requirements. My main intention
was to search and reach eligible and the best employees for United Parcel Service Company
(Singh and Sushil 2013). Avoid discrimination- In the entire process of recruitment, I have followed all
legislations and regulations imposed by government. On the basis of these regulations, I avoided
any kind of discrimination and partiality among employees. I took fair decision related to
recruitment which was based on candidate’s efficiency, knowledge and skills.

Search alternative solution- After determine the reason of conflict, in next stage I will
search the best alternative solution for problem. The solution will suitable for issue and easily to
