INTRODUCTION Human resource is the important part of any organization. Role of human resource manager is to manage the people within an enterprise and motivate them to improve their performance at workplace. Especially company operating in service sector required to have focus on workers' performance as this factor have great effect on the customer services as well as on firm growth. Role of human resource management team in an enterprise is to hire talented and skilled employees those who can drive organization towards achievement of business goals and objectives. The purpose of the project is to identify the effect of legal, regulatory and Ethical considerations on recruitment and selection procedure in United parcel company. Report will highlight the qualities as well as competencies that are required to possess by leader in order to manage people effectively. It will also emphasize on developing the understanding about the several benefits of working in a team. TASK 1 1.1 Documentation to hire and recruit new candidate within an organization It has been identified from the given case study that due to the ineffective management and poor administrative system the cited venture has to face many issues including high employee turnover.This factor also has adverse effect on the routine business operations and production activity of firm.Now, it is the situation that business. Company has to recruit new candidates in order to conduct business activities. Recruitment procedure begins with identifying the vacant position and drafting as well as posting the advertisement for same. Human resource manager before posting an advertisement in newspaper is required to analyze the skills as well as qualities that are needed to be judge in candidate during the time of selection procedure. All the detail about the job should be included in the advertisement such as designation, qualification, person specifications, duties and responsibilities etc. Job description and person specification for the post of human resource manager in United parcel service company (Kim and Beehr, 2018) Appointment letter by human resource managers. For instance, for reducing the employee turnover rate, it is required by manager to make prove training session for workers. As this will help employees in getting satisfaction from work. Another leadership approach that can be adopted in this situation is participated leadership. As this will help employees in getting suggestion, advice from leader in order to execute specific task. Effective and continuous communication will also support leader in demonstrating that, they are much concerned about the problems faced by team members which will further lead to satisfaction in worker.
3.3 Reviewing the effectiveness of the team in achieving the goals In context of United parcel services company, there is significant need to improve team effectiveness. This target can be achieved in following ways: It is required by leader or manager to define the role as well as responsibility of individual member in team. As this will help workers in identifying the skills or competencies required to developed by them in order to execute specific task. Every member in a team require to coordinate, communicate effectively with each other during the project. As this will support in improving team performance and ensuring desired outcome. Every team members should support other in order to complete task and share resources with each other. This activity will assist in developing understanding and trust among team members. These are: Business goals and objectives: On the basis of this factor, leader or manager can establish target for individual worker. Feasibility:All the goals and objectives should be achievable measurability: manager or leaders should set some standards’ this will help them in comparing actual performance with standard (Wells, 2018) 4.2 Planning and delivering the assessment of the development needs of individuals Human resource manager is required to update themselves with laws related to their practices. They also needcontinuous personal development in order to work efficiently. Establishing goals: The initial step will be to set goals for human resource manager. Increasing the number of employees within in six months for improving customer services. Setting standards for measuring performance: feedback as well as suggestion from the other employees. Designing of guidelines for providing feedback to workers. Set up Evaluation schedule: It involves setting up of certain regulation or code of conduct on the ground of these rules and regulations evaluation will be done by human resource
management team.
