INTRODUCTION
Success of every company largely depends on the performance of its workers and on the
process of training and recruitment of human resources. Main aim of the process of selection and
recruitment is to choose and finalise the best candidates for a job vacancy in firm (Offstein,
Morwick and Koskinen, 2010). Skilled workers create competitive advantage for company and
help in capturing a larger market share. Managers and leader of firm play a important role in the
execution of business activities. These are the one who motivate individuals and provide them
direction to achieve end results. Due to fast changing business environment, it has become
essential for leaders to change their style of working as per the change in situation. Purple Mail
Company, a courier firm based in United Kingdom is taken in this report for study. At present,
company is facing some issues and the way firm can find better solution to those issues is
detailed in this report. Documentation required during the process of recruitment and selection
and effect of ethical and legal considerations in the process of recruitment are also described
here.
TASK 1
1.1 Documentation to select and recruit a member of staff
Process of inviting large number of skilled candidates for filling the vacancy in enterprise
is known as recruitment. Evaluating skills of candidates to choose the best one from all applied
candidates is known as selection. Recruitment and selection are important processes of every
enterprise. A firm invests number of resources and fund in these processes. Documentation
which is required for recruiting a candidate include the following:

1.2 Impact of legal, ethical and regulatory considerations to the process of recruitment
Any kind of business gets affected or influenced by the performance of employees.
Efficient workers always manage their work in an effective way. That's why managers do
various efforts to retain them with enterprise (Peterson, 2011). Quality of employee's
performance largely depend on the rules and regulations of firm. Rules and regulation of
recruitment process also affect the activities of employees. Recruitment process of Purple Mail
Company is very effective. Department of human resource follows data protection act to protect
the personal details of applicants.
During the process of interview, executives of human resource shortlisted and selected
candidates having required skills. Administrator of firm is responsible to monitor and ensure that
interviewers are well prepared. HR Manager has to consider all laws related with employment
such as employment protection act, discrimination act, fair remuneration act and many more. All
these acts help in securing life and health of employees as well as motivate them to perform well.
Culture and ethical consideration of an enterprise affect the whole process of recruitment.
For achieving better results from this and to better satisfy the needs and wants of workers, it is
essential for the managers of Purple Mail company to remove biasness from the process of
