CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTIONTOPIC: “To ascertain a requirement of employee empowerment in operational management ofbusiness- a study on Hilton Hotels”BackgroundAssigning roles, duties and operational responsibilities to employees are defaultoperations of the business. Empowerment arises where professionals brings suitable ability to theemployees in terms of explaining their issues as well as expressing their views and ideas inplanning and decision-making (Fernandez and Moldogaziev, 2015). This is a certain degree ofautonomy which assigns to employees as they can express their innovative ideas in terms ofdeveloping plans for business. Research will be based on analysing working culture andoperations of Hilton Hotel as well as it approaches towards improving employee empowerment.Research problemIssues arise where the top-level management does not have effective plans andoperational planning for employees. The management of operations as well as assigningresponsibilities among professionals will be effective as it brings them ability to make adequatechanges in operations (Kim and Fernandez, 2017).
